Are you ready to advocate and fight for digital sovereignty in Europe?
SoberanYa is a citizen-driven community initiative on a mission to defend and promote European digital sovereignty—for individuals, communities, and businesses. We advocate for technologies and platforms that respect privacy, protect data, and reject surveillance capitalism.
We’re here to make sure that Europe doesn’t outsource its digital soul.
We are a team of versatile, passionate, and committed volunteers to help build the community. If you want to flex your talent and help grow a dynamic community of free-thinkers who see digital technology as tools that extend human capabilities rather than replaces them. If you’re tired of Big Tech dominance, incessant anxiety inducing marketing piffle, and mindless tech-bro hyperbole and want to help Europe reclaim its digital autonomy, we’d love to hear from you.
We need multi-talented, curious, and action-oriented doers across all roles:

- 🖋️ Writers, editors, storytellers
- 🎤 Speakers, advocates, influencers
- 💸 Fundraising and partnerships
- 🎯 Community builders, campaign organizers
If you’re the kind of person who thrives on wearing many hats, rolls up your sleeves, and gets things done, we’d love for you. Recent graduates and early-career changemakers welcome! But, If you’re a one-trick pony, this opportunity isn’t for you.
🔍 Selection Process
We value every application and commit to personally acknowledging each submission within 72 hours, excluding weekends.
If your profile and essay resonates with our mission, you’ll be invited to a 30-minute introductory conversation to discuss your motivations, ideas, and fit.
If there’s mutual alignment, the next step will involve a personal ( and private) strengths-based assessment and a follow-up strategy meeting. In that session, we’ll outline our current roadmap, goals, and gaps—and invite you to design your own role based on our needs, your strengths, and areas where you’d like to grow professionally.
If our strategy and roadmap are a fit for your strengths, interests and professional growth aspirations we’ll draft a simple volunteer agreement and begin working together on clearly defined initiatives and objectives.
We aim to build a community of doers, not titles.
